PCI Compliance Step-by-Step Guide This guide covers logging in, completing the SAQ, submitting compliance, and confirming PCI status.
Step 1: Access the PCI Compliance Portal
- Visit https://pci.paystri.com/
- Enter your Merchant ID (MID) and password (usually the last 5 digits of the MID + state abbreviation in capital letters).
- Click Login to proceed.
Step 2: Start the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ)
- Click on 'Get Started' to begin the compliance questionnaire.
- The system will automatically select the appropriate SAQ type based on your business’s processing method. Review your business details to ensure they are accurate. If needed, update your contact details, address, or business type before proceeding.
- Answers will already be pre-filled for convenience.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and check 'I have read and agreed to the End User Agreement.'
- Click Save & Continue.
- A pop-up window will appear. Check 'I agree that the statements above are true.'
- Click Continue.
- On the next screen, the questionnaire will be displayed. Most if not all questions will already be answered.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Continue.
- Some merchants may be required to complete a PCI scan in addition to the SAQ.

Step 4: Completing the SAQ
- Review all of your answers and ensure they are filled out correctly.
- Scroll to the bottom, enter your e-signature, provide your title, and click Submit.
Step 5: Submit Your Compliance Certification
- Once you complete the SAQ (and network scan, if required), click 'Submit' to finalize your PCI compliance.
- The system will generate a PCI Compliance Certificate for your records.
- Download or email a copy for future reference.
Step 6: Confirm Compliance Status
- Click on the Summary tab to check your compliance status.
- Your PCI Compliance Status should now show as 'Compliant.'
- You will also see the next due date, which is typically one year from today’s date.
Step 7: Ongoing Compliance & Support
- PCI Compliance must be renewed annually, so be sure to revisit the portal when your renewal is due.
