Step-by-Step Guide on Completing Your PCI Scan.
Step 1: Launch the PCI Scan
- Log in to PCI Apply.
- Click Continue to move forward.
- Find Your IP Address (Before Starting the Scan)
To complete your PCI scan, you’ll need your public IP address. If you don’t know it, follow these steps:
Go to WhatIsMyIP or search "What’s my IP address?" on Google.
Copy the IPv4 address displayed (usually in the format 192.168.X.X).
Keep this handy—you’ll need it in Step 2.
Step 2: Add Your IP Address
- Click Manage Scan Targets.
- In the input box, enter your IP address.
- Scroll down and click Add.
- A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation.
- Check "I confirm that I have permission to launch scans against these scan targets."
- Click Continue.
- Your IP address will now appear in the IP Address/Domain Name Pool.
- Click Return to Network Scan Summary.
Step 3: Start the Scan
- Back on the summary screen, click Launch Scan.
- A pop-up will appear with your IP address(es).
- Select the IP address you want to scan and click Launch Scan.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear stating:
- "Scans may take five days or more to process."
- Click OK to proceed.
Step 4: Schedule Automatic Scans (Recommended)
- Click Create Schedule.
- A scheduling window will open.
- Select the IP address you want to use and click Next.
- Choose Quarterly Scan (recommended for PCI compliance).
- The system will display your next five scheduled scan dates.
- Click Submit.
- You will see a confirmation message showing the next scheduled scan date.
💡 At this point, you can log out. You will receive an email notification once the scan is complete.
Step 5: Check Your Scan Results
- Log back in once you receive the email confirming the scan is complete.
- Click Continue to proceed.
- On the Network Scan Summary page, check if the scan passed.
- If passed, click Submit ASV Compliance.
Step 6: Attest to ASV Compliance
- A pop-up will appear asking about load balancing.
- Select the appropriate response:
- No load balancers
- Identical configurations across load-balanced servers
- Non-identical load balancer configurations
- Select the appropriate response:
- Scroll down, check "I attest to the scope", and click Next.
- On the next screen, confirm your contact information (update if needed).
- Click Submit.
⏳ Allow 1–2 business days for the review.
Step 7: Final Review & Sign-Off
- Log back in after 1–2 business days.
- Click Continue to proceed.
- On the Review & Sign page:
- All required fields should be pre-filled.
- Scroll to the bottom, enter your Name & Title.
- Click Submit.
🎉 Your PCI Compliance is now complete!
Step 8: Download Your PCI Certificate
- After submitting, go to the Document List section.
- Download your PCI Certificate (if needed).
- On the Summary Page, you will now see that you are PCI compliant with the next renewal date.
✅ PCI Compliance must be renewed annually. Be sure to revisit the portal when your renewal is due.
