- The S80 uses thermal paper, which only prints on one side. Open the paper compartment and ensure the shiny, thermal-coated side is facing outward, making contact with the thermal printer head.
2. Replace the Paper Roll
- Sometimes the paper itself can be the issue. Try using a new roll that meets the specifications (2 1/4 inches or 58mm width, 50mm diameter).
3. Clean the Printer Head
- Dust or debris on the printer head can interfere with printing. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the printer head and ensure full contact with the paper.
4. Restart the Terminal
- Power off the terminal, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. A quick reset can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
5. Check Printer Settings
- Access the terminal settings to confirm the printer is enabled and configured correctly. Some settings can affect print output.
6. Seek Support if Needed
- If none of these steps work, there may be an issue with the thermal printer itself. Contact your payment processor or PAX support for further assistance.
