Clover Compact – Merchant Setup & User Guide

Clover Compact is a countertop payment terminal designed for simple, fast transactions with a clean, compact footprint. This guide will walk you through setup, connectivity, and daily use.

🌐 Network Requirements

The Clover Compact can connect via:

  • Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz)

  • Ethernet (recommended for stability)

  • Optional LTE (if configured with cellular)

Network Setup Tips:

  • The device must connect directly to the internet (no TLS proxies).

  • Use a dedicated subnet for terminal devices with DHCP or static IPs.

  • For Wi-Fi, use a secure WPA2 network with a strong password.

  • Restrict Wi-Fi access by MAC or IP if desired for added security.
